A boutique law firm in midtown Toronto is looking for a litigation law clerk. (please do not apply if you want to be a lawyer or paralegal - this is for law clerk role)
The successful candidate should be be extremely organized, detail-oriented, can work well independently but also be a good team player. They should have knowledge of court proceedings and how to prepare all relevant documents. In addition, it would be helpful to have knowledge and experience with GhostPractice and ACL and possess some knowledge of litigation. Must have excellent written and oral communication skills and be able to follow instructions effectively.
It would be helpful if they had had experience in preparing statements of claims, judgments, filing writs electronically, issue garnishments and preparation of sheriff sale documents. Should be able to understand a title search, corporate search, bankruptcy documents, etc.
